Fashion's Night Out - Neiman Marcus Fall 2010 Fashion Show
The Who’s Who of Houston came in droves last night to experience an evening of fashion, sophistication and glamour at Neiman Marcus’ Fashion Night Out. Conversations of current trends and attendees’ excitement for the highly anticipated fashion show filled the air and flowed effortlessly throughout the room. Sipping on champagne, custom-made spring water, or cosmopolitan martinis, the Houstonian fashionistas anxiously waited for the “must-haves” of the Fall 2010 season to strut their stuff down the runway. Once underway, it became crystal clear that this Fall, all that glitters will be gold (or bronze) and fashion will soar to a new height (via 4 to 4 ½ inch stilettos) like it has never seen before.
If you’re a PETA supporter, you may not have been impressed to discover that fur/faux fur will be one of the premier go-to looks for the Fall. Models showcased long fur jackets, short fur jackets and bright-colored fur vests as a trend for this season. But no fur look is complete, unless you have the fur-trimmed pumps or handbag to accentuate your “wild side.”
Do away with your “no white after Labor Day” theory because according to fashion experts, white will be the new black for the fall. Pair your white skinny jeans with the ever-growing popular over-the-knee boot and you will be on your way to achieving this Fall’s essential style combination in no time.
Don’t forget to update your wardrobe to infuse not only leopard prints but grey, silver, plum, navy and bronze-toned pieces as this will be vital to completing your Fall 2010 wardrobe. Last but certainly not least, from your formal wear to business casual ensemble, SHINE BABY SHINE! Sequins and rhinestones ruled the runway yesterday from spaghetti-strapped cocktail dresses to tank tops worn beneath fur coats.
These styles/trends will be seen on celebrities, models and designer runways world-wide. So Houston, be fierce and beware…this Fall will be one to remember.
